Blackfive has more on things the media "happens" not to notice. I want to restate exactly what I have said before regarding this subject. What happened in Abu Ghrid is not indicative in anyway of the rest of our military and such a sentiment should not even be entertained. What happened was wrong (to who it happened to and not necessarily the methods believe it or not) and punishment is being handed out as it should.
I've noticed a trend lately at it isn't a good one. Ever since the Abu Ghrid (and heck a tad bit before) there has been a growing sentiment to not only mock the "intelligence" of our soldiers but to downright categorize them as mindless drones made to follow orders. I have a problem with this, you can imagine. If there is one thing that is a scar on America's legacy is how we treated our men returning from Vietnam. This country came to hate the war as much as they did that they soon took it out on the soldiers, the young men drafted to fight. I wasn't born yet so I can't exactly tell you this is a warning sign of what happened in the aftermath of Vietnam but as this country polarizes itself on this war you can only imagine that the side that hates the war would naturally come to "dislike" those who willingly went to fight. Because if they hated those who were drafted with no choice, how much more so would they hate those who had a choice? They can chant to support the troops as much as possible, but they are not fooling anyone.

It was written before Nick Berg was beheaded, so you can add him to the list of collateral damage from the media's war against the War.

Indeed I do apperciate the post. Just those not so subtle truths that are glossed over by big media because hey....they can...
Idiocy and narcissim at the finest.
