I've heard some ridiculous and absurb things in my time and sometimes you believe you've heard it all. But then sometimes you pierce that fog of ignorance and realize you haven't heard nothin yet. Take Michelle Malkin's latest post. She brings us knowledged of "cuddling parties," perhaps one of the most pathetic and downright childish behavior I have happened to come across in my years (which, though small, have been quite filled).
Now I understand how we humans are social creatures and the need for others, other people, to be around us and to be with us is quite powerful. Nonetheless that draw should never over-power sense, and these "parties" are quite deprived of sense. They are supposed to answer the need of human interaction, human touch, and yet entirely deprave you of why that touch is of importance to us. You see as humans often times the most important thing we seek is acceptance, to have others accept us and to seek us out to be around. From that usually comes the human interaction, we touch, we hug, we shake hands in a sign that we want a person in our company (granted that isn't always true but most of us don't have ulterior motives like some spy or whatever). These parties take out the "acceptance" part and give us only the "touch." Do these people really accept us? Hardly, they're glad to see your money and they'll do what ever is needed to "fullfill" the part of the bargin that money bought. Is that acceptance? Don't think so and all you're doing is getting "screwed." Sound like that social contact you've been seeking? Yea, right. Welcome to a new form of prostitution and this time they don't even need to worry about disease or nothing. Perfect. So now we have men (and I can only assume women as well) "in need of contact."
Men...suck it up. You want "contact," you want that feeling of acceptance? Earn it. Not through money but through doing something with yourself, doing something with your life and find success. Be a good person, reach out to help other people. Do these things, as well as infintely more things, and you will earn this acceptance. Don't debase yourself, don't pay for something you can earn perfectly on your own. Bascially be a man, be a gentleman, be those things women look for in a man, and you'll not only get social contact, you'll get friends. Hell, you may even get a wife and that is far more worth your time and energy than someone who is willing to "spoon" with men who pay money.
Lord save this country from ourselves....
Rather scary, huh? :S How peculiar...!!! The world is full of strange people and we, not strange ones, need to avoid "contact" with them!!! The world is such a scary place!!!!!
