iPhone In "Five Days;" James Lileks Doesn't Care...

Five days to the iPhone. If you care. I don’t. I’m perfectly content with my cellphone, which has a ringtone like a bee trying to burp the melody of “Bolero.”

Funny, I am somewhat in the "care" category and I didn't even know it was coming in five days.  Heh.

For the record the thing does seem damn cool but I have my Chocolate (and a "nice" two year contract to honor) so I'll have to be appeased for the moment. Or two.

Mr Thompson Has Himself a Blog

   So if you haven't seen it yet Fred Thompson has launched his blog on his imwithfred.com website (located here).  It's a decent little thing with a small blogroll with some of the top names in the Center to Right blogosphere though that's about it right now.  His welcome message talks about the time he's spent sharing his opinions online and how now it's time those opinions are going to go on the road.  Seems like he's beginning to build up steam now for his announcement to become a candidate for President which will hopefully occur soon (seems there some itchiness among the Right about Fred and they're either unimpressed with what's come so far or they're turned off because he hasn't already declared).  I suggest you check out his YouTube page as well.  There's a lot there defining his stance on the issues and certainly enough to appease though who say they don't know where he stands (something that absolutely boggles my mind considering everything I've already seen, heard and read from him).

   And if you get a chance here's the latest video involving his stance on the issues interviewed by Peter Robinson who can probably deliver better questions then Jay Leno:

Classical Values Hitting Home Runs With Regularity...

Eric over at Classical Values is just delivering post after post of great commentary about the current political situations regarding identity politics.  Really impresses me how he gets out these well written posts repeatedly with more analysis to add each time.  Certainly something I struggle to try and do myself.

New Construction Underway...

Doing some renovation at this time updating and deleting old links on the left and hopefully getting some more things going.  I really want to get Wordpress for this blog but it might take a little bit before I figure out the program and then the matter of hosting.  Like I've said before this might be a slow process but I'm going with it.  Wedding is only a few days away so my life won't be as hectic afterwards and things may progress more quickly.  Unfortunately money has become an issue in my life (though when is it not for anyone) so a lot of the things I want to do are being hinder by a general lack of funds.  We'll see what happens though.

Ridiculous...

Ever wanted to start on a new project (or revitalize an old one) with a great sense of excitement and determination only to find the walls of everday situations and responsibilites choking the time and energy to do it? 

Bienvenue à ma vie.

Somehow though, even with everything going on, I WILL GET IT DONE.

That is, if there's anyone left to read it...

A Big F U To The Spammers!

I've had to go ahead and disable comments for the time being.  Seems someone decided Christmas Day was the perfect day to spam my site with something like 100 comments or so (and it hadn't stopped yet) so I've disabled the comments for a bit.  Hopefully that'll stop soon enough...

Update: Son of a you know what....seems I can't block comments outright...and can't seem to find where I can make it that I can approve comments.

Ah well....sent a note to Typepad...hopefully they'll respond soon enough.

One Year Today...

So I just figured out this blog is one year's old today.

I really don't know what to say in regards to that cept...it's been an interesting and rather fun ride so far and I'm quite thankful for the people I've met and perhaps had a chance to influence in some way or form.

Here's to another year, and another, and another...
